Pooh-related Sites -- Other

These sites don't deal with Pooh directly, but I found them interesting:
Children's Literature Web Guide
This page will point you to many other sites on the web dealing with children's lit.

The Canadian Teacher-Librarian's Resource Page
This page contains catagorized lists of web sites devoted to books which teacher's might find useful in their teaching.

Penguin USA
This is the parent company of Dutton Children's Books. They own the copyright on the Pooh books here in the United States. They've finally got a page up devoted to Pooh (see the link listed under General) but I'm including this one to their home page just because...

Donnell Library Center
This is a branch of the New York Public Library. Christopher Robin's original toys are displayed here in the Central Children's Room. Sadly, the web-site doesn't contain much about the collection, but you can get information about he center's hours if you plan on visiting there.

The Wind in the Willows -- Electronic Text
A. A. Milne loved Kenneth Grahame's book, The Wind in the Willows, and wrote a play based on it, Toad of Toad Hall. E. H. Shepard, illustrator of the Pooh books, also did a memorable job of illustrating The Wind in the Willows. If you haven't had any exposure to this book, check it out on electric format here. Read it, but make sure to get to a library and check out the illustrations by Shepard, since they'll be missing in this text version.

The Electronic Zoo
A guide to web pages devoted to animals of all types, including fictional ones.

The yoyo Disney archive
If you are searching for the lyrics to a Disney tune, or maybe want a MIDI file of one of them, then check here. A huge archive is waiting for you to find it.

The Ultimate Dr. Seuss Page
I love Dr. Seuss, and even though he has nothing what-so-ever to do with Pooh, I wanted to list a Dr. Seuss web-page since he had a great influence on my early reading. It seems that Dr. Seuss web pages don't last very long....this is the fourth one I've listed in here, since my previous listings all seem to disappear. Thankfully, there are always sites to fill in when one goes down.

Internet@Night -- Not Just for Kids!
This site provides a large listing of web sites that are appropriate for children of all ages.

Splash Kids Online Magazine
A site designed for kids. Check out interviews with actors, read articles about different countries, take part on the chat boards... There's lots here to keep you occupied.

Parent Soup
This site is more designed for the parents. Special forums similar to newsgroups discuss parental problems and solutions, information about raising childrens, community updates, planning out how to afford your child's college education... All that and a large listing of kid-safe sites on the web, and a few that might interest parents as well. Just check it out, there's lots to see!

[NEW] sites are sites that have been added to this list within the past month (or so...)

Did I miss anything? I'm always on the lookout for more Pooh sites on the Internet. If you've found one that I don't have listed here, please let me know!!
