I've searched the Internet for other
Pooh-related sites, and have found quite a few. To make things easier
for you, I've organized this list into several catagories. Just click on
the catagory that fits what you're looking for. Several sites might fit
in more than one catagory, but I've tried to place them in the category
that fits them best.
To give a better idea about what each of these catagories represents,
I'll attempt to define them here for you.
Must See
These are sites that I feel are deserving of some special attention.
They represent, in my opinion, sites that go above and beyond others in
their respective areas. That doesn't mean that there aren't any other
good sites out there... This catagory only includes seven sites currently
(and one of them is my own), and I want to keep it a small list. It's
mostly for new visitors to my page, as a guide to the first places they
should go for Pooh information, since regular web surfers should
probably already have these sites bookmarked.
Pictures
Pictures of Pooh and the gang. This includes the original Shepard
images, the Walt Disney versions, or any other incarnation of the toys,
such as original art or ASCII style art.
Sounds
This means digital recordings from the various Disney cartoons, or
clips from other Disney productions, such as their read-along series of
books.
Discussion
This includes information about the Pooh characters or discussion about
various Pooh merchandise, locales, individual stories, etc.
FAQs
Similar to Discussion, this catagory contains only sites that have
an "official" Pooh FAQ (frequently asked questions), produced by Dan
Rinzel. As of this writing, the current version is 1.1, so make sure
that's what you're looking for. All the sites that I have listed contain
the current version. A new version of the FAQ is in the works,
spearheaded by Peter and Katie Prunka, with input from Dan Rinzel and a
couple of other people. It's a huge effort, and should be a great
improvement over the current version.
General
This applies to all the sites that don't really fit in anywhere
else. Either they are too original to be catagorized, or they just
contain a hodge-podge of varied information. Sites not directly dealing
with Pooh, but related by theme are included here.
Other
These are just sites that I have found (or had shown to me) that I
feel fit in with the general theme of Pooh. Sites dedicated to
children's materials on the Internet, literary sites, and the like would
be included here. It's kinda my contribution to parents, teachers, and
anyone else who has trouble finding sites that are safe for all ages.
